It was so nice to be out again after the summer and not having to deal with dust on Saturday's ride. The colors of trees were on display and really "popped" when the sun came out from behind the clouds. We had 12 machines with about half UTV's. We covered 58 miles in 6 hours, with 4 hours of that moving. It was a bit cold as we reached the high part of ride at Taylor Saddle and the Montana state line. We even had snow on the road, not much maybe 1/2 inch and only some short sections from days before that did not melt due to shade. All appeared to enjoy the ride and are looking forward to next Saturday's ride. After our last rest stop we could see a system moving in from the northeast and sure enough 20 minutes before we got back to the trucks we had a light rain, not enough to stop and put on rain jackets though! I think that was the fastest loading of ATVs I've seen as people wanted to get into the warmth of the trucks. Glad you all could join me!
Forgot to mention hunting season had started, we met about 12 road hunters, I didn't hear any shots while we were stopped.
